Milissa Magwood
Founder & Executive Director
Milissa is a writer, advocate, and community builder focused on making systems easier to understand and harder to ignore.
Path to Somewhere began as a creative outlet for her artwork, but evolved when she saw how many people were getting lost in systems that don’t make sense, especially those navigating disability, neurodivergence, poverty, and crisis.
Late-diagnosed neurodivergent, she knows what it’s like to struggle longer than necessary simply because the path isn’t clear.
She has worked full-time in telecommunications for over 15 years, building a career rooted in problem-solving and helping people navigate complex services. This work is built in the margins, nights and weekends, because the need is real.
She built Path to Somewhere to turn confusion into action so people can move forward instead of getting lost in the system.
Danielle Violot
Chair of the Board
Danielle is a writer, editor, and technical communicator with a deep commitment to clarity, care, and human-centered systems.
She brings lived experience as a caregiver, having supported her mother through brain cancer, along with ongoing volunteer work in hospice care. That perspective shapes how she approaches both people and policy with compassion and realism.
Neurodivergent and currently studying to become a social worker, Danielle bridges technical precision with emotional intelligence.
She brings clarity to complexity and keeps the work grounded, focused, and moving forward with care.
She helps ensure the foundation remains accountable, steady, and centered on the real needs of the community.
